No-Glue Box Lantern
Assembly instructions for the No-Glue Box Lantern — a 3.75-inch cube with an attached lid. These steps work for every pattern in the line, so whichever pattern you picked, you’re in the right place.

Know your pieces
Worth thirty seconds before you start folding. Once the parts have names, the steps stop being a puzzle.
Dash lines or score lines
Your download includes two versions of the file, and which one you use depends on your machine.
Score lines are a single pass with a scoring tool or stylus. They crease the cardstock without cutting through it, and they give the cleanest fold.
Dash lines are tiny cuts — a dashed line your blade cuts straight through. Use these if your machine can’t score, or if you’d rather not swap tools mid-cut. The fold is still good, the line is just a little more visible.
Either one works. Pick the one that suits your machine and don’t overthink it.
Something not lining up?
If a step reads wrong, or a piece doesn’t sit the way the diagram says it should, tell me — info@michellewarddesigns.com. I’d rather fix the instructions than have you wrestle with them.
